TaiChi & Qigong FAQs

What we do
All of our programs are based on two core principles – balance and energy.
First, we teach balance in all things - physical, mental and spiritual. If everything in your life was balanced wouldn’t it all be a lot easier?

Second, we base our training on all of the body’s energies – not just on generating physical power. There is a lot more to you than just muscle, so we train all aspects of the individual. This includes training the body’s bio-energy or Qi (chee). Thought, emotion or physical action, at some level it is all energy.

Learning to balance and coordinate all of the body’s energies takes a special kind of training. In the martial arts, this is called internal training. Internal training considers all aspects of the martial arts – physical aspects such as strength, balance and leverage – and it also considers the subtle energies of the body which we refer to as Qi.

All of our classes are taught as internal arts.
